LEESBURG - The Trojan Quarterback Club gave the greatest honor to coach L.J. Berry, end coach, for the wonderful work demonstrated at Venetian Gardens last week against the Eustis Tigers. The ends were sharp with assignment. Coach Berry is a high school graduate of L.C.T.S., Leesburg, and received his B.S. from A.&T. College at Greensboro, S.C. He is an industrial arts teacher at the Carver Heights High School and is an active gentlemen in civic work in the community.
 
The Trojan Quarterback Club will celebrate their first annual ball at Club Casino, Eustis, Friday night, Oct. 18,. The purpose of this occasion is to raise funds for the Athletic department of the Carver Heights High School. The occasion will not be an open house affair, it is for those who have received invitations. For table reservations, write to James Berry 920 Washington St, or call 1302 white.
 
For the next three weeks, the Trojans will be on the road. Any one who desires to go, contact any member of the Quarterback Club before the day of the game. There will be two open dates because of Cocoa coming to Leesburg Dec. 5. The next game will be Nov. 14, Homecoming at which time the Trojans will play Fessenden Academy.
 
The Stone High School Gophers will play the Carver Heights Trojans Friday, Oct. 18. at 8 p.m. in Brothers Park in Melbourne. The Trojans lost to the Wild Bulls of Ocala last Thursday night, is out for their third win.
