The Leesburg Carver High Trojans of the Central Florida Athletic Conference chalked up their second conference win last night as they defeated the DeLand Euclid High Tigers here in the Venetian Gardens ball park 19-0 in a conference contest.

The Trojans kicked off to the Tigers, and lost the ball on a fumble. The Trojans recovered and after a series of play, right halfback Arnett Hawkins, led the Trojans to a touchdown from the 25-yard marker and made the extra point, to lead the Trojans 7-0 through the second and third quarter.

The Trojans managed to get the ball late in the fourth quarter and Arnett Hawkins carried the pigskin over from the 25-yard line for the second tally for the Trojans. The try for extra point failed. Fullback Frank Gibbs of Trojans put the game on ice when he scored from the 5-yard line.

The Trojans tried a number of passes, but just couldn't get them to click at the right time. After the game, Head Coach H. O. Dabney said that Ronnie Roundtree, end, and tackle Richard Davis were big standouts for the Trojans, and that Mack Sapp, center on the Trojans, did very good job at the center post and linebacker on defense. Both high school bands were on hand to entertain the fans at halftime. The Trojans Marching Band is led by Bernard Walker as head Drum Major.
