The Carver Heights Trojans coached by Hubert Dabney open their season tonight at 8 o'clock on the Venetian Gardens field against Wauchula Braves.
The game was scheduled to be played in Wauchula, but officials there notified Coach Dabney that the hurricane left their field in a quagmire.
Coach Dabney said the city officials of Leesburg had cooperated wonderfully in getting the Venetian Gardens in playing condition so the game was transferred here. The Marching Trojans band will perform at halftime.
