Carver Heights Takes Fourth Straight Win, 10-17-65

The untied and unscored upon Carver Heights Trojans won their fourth straight victory last night when they turned back the Drew High Wildcats of Winter Garden, 20-0.

Playing on a field that was covered with mud from the day's rain, the Trojans splashed their way to a touchdown the first time they gained possession of the ball.

With 20 points scored before halftime, Coach Dabney inserted substitutes freely to increase game experience.

The Trojans were never in doubt, as the defensive unit of the blue and gold boys was superb.

No team has crossed the Trojans goal line thus far this season. However. Their work will be cut out for them next Saturday night when they journey to Cocoa to take on the Class A powerhouse. This non conference game is against a much bigger school. But the Carver Heights lads are determined in every sense of the word.

Last night's scoring again showed Lorenzo Pierce leading the way. Pierce has scored every game thus far this season and improves with each game. Also looking good were Artis Brown, William Kerrison, Charlie Tarver, and the consistent quarterbacking of Tommy Perkins.
